- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to teach the students basic Dutch so that the students are able to communicate in everyday basic situations. We focus on all four skills - speaking + proper pronunciation, listening, writing and reading. The student also acquires basic knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and realia of the topics we focus on during the course.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will learn the basics of Dutch, learn reading with comprehension, listening, speaking and will be able to communicatie in basic communicative situations.
- Syllabus
- There are two topics which we focus on in the course. These topics are the topics of chapters from the textbook Vanzelfsprekend: • 3. Can you help me? • 4. What do you mean? In addition, there will be several lectures on Dutch language and Dutch and Belgian society.
- Teaching methods
- weekly lessons - 2 hours per week (language lessons + lectures on Dutch language and Dutch and Belgian society)
- Assessment methods
- The course is completed by credit (z). Prerequisite for admission to the credit test is regular attendance (max. 2 unexcused absences), completion of homework within the set deadline and active participation in lessons.
