Course objectives
The aim of this course is the comprehensive development of language competence in the form of participation in a summer school of Polish language and culture in one of the Polish centers for teaching Polish as a foreign language. A student taking part in the summer school should also enrich his knowledge about Poland, Polish society, Polish literature and culture. A stay in an authentic Polish-speaking environment also serves to establish contacts with - Polish academic staff and Polish-language scholars from other countries.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course students will be able:
- to use the Polish language in oral and writing communication at the level corresponding to the issued certificate;
- to characterize the Polish academic environment;
- to characterize current events in Poland and Polish culture.
Syllabus
  • Attendance at the Summer School of Polish Language and Culture usually includes:
  • - intensive course of the Polish language;
  • - accompanying lectures on Poland, Polish literature and culture;
  • - discussion of current topics;
  • - visits to cultural institutions.
Teaching methods
Intensive language course, lectures, discussion, group projects.
Assessment methods
To obtain a credit it is necessary to submit a certificate issued by the Polish academic workplace (the extent of the language instruction is at least 30 hours).

General note: Mohou zapsat pouze studenti, kteří absolvovali letní školu polského jazyka na polské univerzitě a předloží originál příslušného certifikátu. Minimální objem jazykové výuky musí být 30 vyučovacích hodin.
