- Learning outcomes
- Students will be introduced to the basic concepts in personality theory and research. The attention is given to defining of personality, units of personality, structure and dynamics of personality, nature and nurture of personality, growth and development of personality, and methods of personality assessment.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction: Aim of personality psychology, definition of personality. 2. Nature - nurture debate. 3. Biological basis of personality: Temperament - main theories, researches. 4. Personality structure: Personality traits - main models, researches. 5. Dynamics of personality: Motivation and self-regulation -. main models, researches. 6. Individual paper tutorial. The course is taught each semester.
