Course objectives
The aim of this subject is to get acquainted with the basic theories of translation and various types of texts, which the students and graduates of Dutch and Swedish get in practice for translation. Students will learn basic translation strategies, learn how to work with dictionaries as well as with internet resources. In the practical part of the course the students will try to translate personal documents and commercial texts in the language of their specialization. Last but not least attention is paid to the translation practice and the status of the translator.
Learning outcomes
