- Course objectives
- The course acquaints students with legal aspects of clinical psychology. The work of a clinical psychologist is a medical profession and as such is subject to legal regulation.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course the student will: - be able to orientate in health legislation - Know the patient's rights - Know what legal obligations a clinical psychologist has - know what information he must provide to the patient - have a basic orientation in legal regulations of expert activities
- Syllabus
- (1) the profession of clinical psychologist from the perspective of law, where the clinical psychologist can work and how his / her legal status differs 2) patient with limited legal capacity, child patient, what are the specifics in providing care, means of restraint, treatment without consent 3) patient's rights and medical duties (confidentiality, privacy…) 4) informed consent, medical documentation and consultation 5) expert activity 6) the health care professional's responsibility
