- Interest in online learning and technology in education. However, no specific technical knowledge is expected.
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The course is aimed at university students who want to use technology in education for learning practice. It is not primarily aimed (although it is open to them as well) at students of teaching disciplines, but rather at students of programmes in which the learning of others plays a significant role, but may not be strong enough embedded in the curriculum (computer scientists, librarians, gallery workers, doctors, science popularizers, ...). The course is based on the European DigCompEd competency framework - for each competency, it offers a basic theoretical framing, but also tools that can be used in the field.
The aim of the course is to prepare these students for online, hybrid and presessional learning of others using technology in specific aspects of educational activities. Students will gain a practical and theoretical framework for their own learning and work, which they will be able to develop independently. - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
- use online tools to support the learning of others
- work with selected theories and concepts related to the use of technology in education
- reflect on the literature on the topic
- apply the knowledge gained to their own educational practice - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- The online course works with six teaching blocks according to the individual competence dimensions. The output of these blocks is practical assignments that are peer-assessed by the students.
- Assessment methods
- At the end of the course there is a test that the student has 3 attempts to pass. If he/she fails, there is a remedial oral exam. In addition to the text, the student submits his/her own proposal for educational activities with the chosen tools, on which he/she receives feedback from the course tutor. An introductory and final self-evaluation mapping the student's education during the entire semester is a mandatory part of the course.
