Course objectives
The course is closely linked to the study of Education and the aim is for students to gain or deepen the practical skills and competencies needed for: - work in educational institutions / school administration / educational policy; - work in educational institutions, consultancy agencies, non-profit organizations and state educational institutions providing educational activities with emphasis on experiential reflective learning; - preparation and implementation of pedagogical research in both school and non-school institutions.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to: - (better) estimate the demands and nature of work in a particular position - apply expertise and skills from the field of pedagogy, education and school system to solve problems within the position where the student is placed. - orient oneself in basic (legal or other) regulations that define the position and the functioning of the organization; - manage the basics of work at the level of the assigned position in the specific institution;
Syllabus
  • 1. Under the guidance of the guarantor (the employee of the organization in which the student will be doing the practical training) a comprehensive introduction to the daily work of the institution/department and the work in the relevant job where the student will be placed. 2. The student is required to deal with not only routine substantive or organizational tasks, but also to gain the technical knowledge and learn the procedures in a particular organization. 3 The student should gradually carry out not only the assigned tasks, but also (upon agreement with the guarantor of the field practice) apply his/her own ideas. 4. In a step by step way learn to work independently not only within the organization but also in the field (for example giving assistance in carrying out certain activities outside the institution, etc.). 5. At the end of the field practice, the student’s work is evaluated by the guarantor of practice who will give recommendations for improving the student’s work in the future and at the same time highlight the positive aspects of the student’s work or his or her achievements.
