Course objectives
- Awareness of the role of the design process in the running of the organisation and how organisations work with it
- Awareness of the role and mandate of the designer moving in different environments
- An understanding of the breadth of the range of crafts that are part of the design process
- Awareness of the motivations of practising designers, why they do it and what fulfils them
- Exposing students to reality = and the real work of practitioners
Learning outcomes
Student after completing the course
- can discuss with designers at a professional theoretical level after completing the course,
- takes a critical view of what can be achieved through design thinking,
- can think critically about where to take their studies and expertise next.
