- Course objectives
- The course organized for individuals / in blocks in the form of an internal seminar focusses mainly on the consistent and continuous (self) reflection and control while writing the dissertation. The course will run regularly, at least in semesters in the form of individual teaching in seminars and consultations, within which the doctoral student shall present results, which he/she has achieved, in the form of a “report”. The student also can submit parts of his/her dissertation. These proceeding advanced stages will be, in a summarizing way, commented and discussed by the supervisor with the objective not only to check the doctoral student but mainly to mentor him/her. The subject also requires the student to participate in regular doctoral colloquia at the Institute of European Ethnology.
- Learning outcomes
- Achievement of capabilities of autonomous research work. Mastery of abilities to articulate a research problem clearly and to create the structure of a specialized text. Demonstration of the ability to argue and to defend the theses of his/her research work.

- 4. Construction and structure of doctoral dissertation.
- 5. Possibilities of interpretation.
- 6. Theoretical tools.
- 7. Preparation for closing presentation of doctoral dissertation.

- The student enrols in subject course every semester from the beginning of his/her studies (a possibility to repeat the enrolment), meaning at least eight times during the studies.
