- Course objectives
- At the end of this course, the student will be able to understand terms from Semantic Web technologies; understand how to store knowledge in ontologies using RDF(S) and OWL; understand the basic types of relations and inference offered by these languages; be able to create their own ontology; understand the SPARQL query language and be able to formulate queries over existing ontologies.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
understand the organization of data according to W3C standards;
understand how to store knowledge in ontologies using RDF(S) and OWL;
understand session types;
understand inference supported by RDF(S) and OWL;
create their own ontology;
formulate SPARQL queries over existing ontologies - Syllabus
