Course objectives
The aim of the course is the contrastive stylistic analysis of the German literary texts (contemporary German literature f.e. of H. Müller, Elfriede Jelinek, Judith Hermann, Juli Zeh) and their translations into Czech. It will be focused on the more complicated stylistic elements and configurations such as compound words, metaphors, idioms, playing words, also life and institutions, stylistic registers, technical terms. To rewied is the adequacy of the translation.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
characterize and describe the style of the German writers in viewing the typical stylistic features
critical review of the adequacy of the translation from the view of scopos
propose the own translation
