- Course objectives
- The aim of the two-semester course Teaterworkhop I-II is a) to familiarize students with contemporary Swedish playwrights b) to expand comprehension and communication skills in practical use of Swedish through working with texts and improvisation techniques focused on the use of a foreign language c) to improve the phonetic pronunciation and comprehension through hands-on training. In the first four lessons the group will be divided into two seminar groups, one will also focus on improvisation, the other on training selected plays.

- • Lesson 1: Introduction, description of the project, meeting within the group improvisational games. • Lesson 2: improvisational games, reading test. • Lesson 3-12: improvisation, practice of plays in Swedish.

- Teaching methods
- Analysis and translation of texts, reading, discussion, language and movement improvisation, exercises of pronunciation and articulation.
- Assessment methods
- Completion of the course takes the form of a public presentation of improvisational performance events or plays within a yearlong project (participation in a festival in Sweden, Swedish exchange trips. It requires an active approach, regular attendance and homework.
