- Course objectives
- The course will get students acquainted with the principles of localization. The topics covered will include terminology and style guide management, recognising and working with tags and variables, the basics of transcreation and marketing translation, translation review, machine translation specifics, post-editing principles, and other industry-related concepts.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students will be able to:
- use selected software and tools used in localization
- translate assigned texts in the specific conditions of localization
- cooperate with other members of a localization team
- conduct machine translation post-editing
- conduct a translation review
