The subject follows the subject CLDS_a21 Seminar for PhD students IV. The course is primarily intended for students of specialization in the Historic languages of the Czech land. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- Course aims:
- further enhancement of the student's skills and knowledge in connection with the focus of the seminar on problems of intertextuality and interdisciplinarity;
- demonstration of the ability of practical application of the said principles when working with specific materials;
- gradual enhancement of the student's skills and knowledge within the thematic scope of the specialization Medieval Languages;
- application of the skills and knowledge acquired in the wider framework of the specialization, on particular issues of the dissertation thesis. - Learning outcomes
- After the completion of the course, the student shall:
- acquire skills and methods that are adequate for literary-theoretical research in the field of Medieval Studies in connection with the focus of the seminar on problems of intertextuality and interdisciplinarity;
- check their command of the said methods by working with specific material that is related to their dissertation topic;
- boost their knowledge and competence within the thematic scope of the specialization Medieval Languages;
- apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the wider framework of the specialization, on particular issues of the dissertation thesis. - Syllabus
- The student is to master the principles of the Theory of Medieval Literature; to this end, they shall choose a corpus of texts from the sources that are related to their doctoral thesis, and shall analyze them; this shall be followed by individual work.
