Syllabus
  • In this one-semester course the students will be taught to write down correctly one or two-voice melodies, two, three and four-voice chords and various rhythm-intonation formations. Attention is also paid to practical vocal and intonation excercizes. Written record of the unison

Assessment methods
summative written test in the examination period
consisting of 25 multiple-choice questions, minimum pass level 75 %. There will be 2 midterm tests during the semester (tentative dates: November 13, 2024 and December 11, 2024). ATTENTION: If these tests are not completed by the student, an X grade will be entered into the IS, which will prevent the student from registering to complete the course. An excused absence from these tests can only be honored by a written excuse slip entered in IS. Requirements for Intermediate 1: notation of intervals and basic quintacord shapes. Requirements for Intermediate 2: notation of quintacords and turnarounds, notation of basic shapes of septacords.
