- Course objectives
- The aim of the German for Musicologists I is to provide students with basic language skills for work in the field of music and musicology. Students will learn basic vocabulary, grammar, and ways to effectively communicate in German in various situations related to music, such as concerts, festivals, reading music literature, or conversations with German-speaking colleagues.
- Learning outcomes
- Learning of basic vocabulary related to music and musicology (field of study); Ability to understand simple texts on field of study; Ability to express themselves in simple sentences about field of study; Ability to write short texts on field of study.
- Syllabus
- Basic grammar: parts of speech, noun and verb forms, number and case Basic phrases and sentences in the field of study: terms related to musical instruments, genres, forms, theories; Reading and understanding simple texts about the field of study; Writing short texts about music and musicology; Conversation and discussion on the topic of music and musicology.
