- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce students the importance and basic principles of information policy in the organization (in the public and commercial sectors). Attention will be paid to putting into context the data and information management, their purpose and importance for the organization, the necessity of interconnection of individual levels for organization management.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course the student will be able to:
- know the current objectives of the EU and the Czech Republic in the field of information policy;
- know the key past and current projects and services of eGovernment and be able to evaluate them methodologically correct;
- know the limits of working with information and information technologies set forth by Czech law and EU directives;
- be able to apply the basic procedures of information management and business intelligence;
- recognize the importance and basic principles of data and information management in an organization. - Syllabus

- Strategic documents of information policy in the EU and the Czech Republic.
- Key projects in electronization of public administration.
- Laws defining the possibilities of work with electronic information.
- Needs analysis and evaluation in the field of electronic services.
