Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Using concrete examples from the visual arts, film, literature and music, the course will introduce the possibilities of mediating and interpreting philosophical disciplines, themes, issues and questions (e.g., the history of philosophy, philosophical aesthetics, virtues and vices, violence) using various art forms. Participants will be introduced to different ways of activating and developing the philosophical imagination through works of art.
Learning outcomes
Graduates will be able to identify philosophical issues in works of art and use various art forms to convey selected philosophical disciplines and themes.
