- Course objectives
- The goal of the diploma seminar is to assist the student in completing the diploma thesis and prepare for its successful defence. This timetable for the consultations is arranged on an individual basis. The diploma thesis addresses a scholarly issue at a level appropriate to the degree being pursued. In the diploma thesis the student must demonstrate the ability to work independently in keeping with academic standards, a knowledge and understanding of the relevant scholarly literature and the ability to analyze the issue under study.
- Learning outcomes
- Develop a research/project technical plan,
to work appropriately with selected methods (select, adapt, administer, evaluate methods) to solve a given professional problem,
analyze acquired data (to apply acquired methodological and math-stat skills),
proceed in accordance with the ethical principles of scientific work,
work with professional sources of information - search, classify, evaluate and discuss the known and acquired information. - Syllabus
- 1. Technical research / project plan.
- 2. Critical evaluation of available methods, selection, adaptation, administration and evaluation of methods.
- 3. Processing of the data obtained.
- 4. Discussion of the results and the critical evaluation of the acquired knowledge in relation to the current state of knowledge and practical implications.
- 5. Formal modification (formatting, quoting) and presentation.
