- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives
- The objective of this course is to introduce students to the basics of the Korean language as a foundation for further study in subsequent semesters. Students will gradually become familiar with fundamental aspects of the language, including basic greetings and simple phrases, allowing them to engage in basic conversation. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand essential greetings and everyday phrases, and they will have a basic understanding of the structure of Korean writing, particularly the formation and reading of Hangul characters. In addition to language skills, students will be introduced to selected aspects of Korean culture, such as etiquette, customs, and social values, providing a broader context for future studies.
- Learning outcomes
- After taking this course, the student will know Korean pronunciation, greetings and structure of Korean script and will be able to continue in following course Korean 2.
