- Course objectives
- The course concentrates on contemporary sociological theories of religions, with special emphasis on theories of globalization. The focus is on the question of transformations of religiousness towards the end of 20th century. Students are introduced into the development of sociological theory of religions that has from the 1960s shifted from the theory of secularization to the theory of globalization. Attention is devoted to significant authors and works in this field of sociological inquiry.
