Course objectives
Personality Psychology: The aim of the lectures is to make the students familiar with the fundamental terms of the personality psychology in accordance with knowledge from other psychological branches (general psychology, development psychology, social psychology and psychological diagnostics).
Syllabus
  • 1. The definition of a personality. Personality in psychology. 2. Implicit theory of a personality. Mistakes in judging the personality. 3. Typology of the personality.. 4. Models of the personality (psychoanalysis, psychology of learning, humanistic psychology, systematic and statistic approaches, etc.). 5. Influences on the personality (endowment versus environment, intersexual differences). 6. Faults of the personality. Possibilities of a therapy. 7. Judging the personality, psychological diagnostics.
