Course objectives (in Czech)
Cílem semináře bude nejenom na příkladu biskupa Jaromíra dokumentovat peripetie evropské politiky 2. poloviny 11. století, ale také přiblížit mentalitu elit, seznámit se soudobými prameny a naznačit možnosti, které skýtá interpretace historického pramene.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Jaromír a jeho doba I. Jak to všechno začalo: Břetislav v Hnězdně, Břetislav v Řezně. II. Nepokojný bratr (Jaromír jako biskup, do roku 1075) 1. Dětství, mládí a volba. 2. Kauza Podivín. a) Prameny b) A jejich interpretace. III. Na královském dvoře? (Jaromír v letech 1077-1086) 1. Otázka Jaromírova kancléřství. 2. Peripetie české politiky v letech 1070-1086. a) Východním směrem. b) Za královskou korunou. IV. Neklidný odchod z nepokojného života (1086-1090).
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Aktivní účast na semináři; tolerance dvou absencí. Vzhledem k tomu, že se jedná o béčkový kurs, budu se ovšem držet hela "Každý svého štěstí strůjcem", takže kdo se bude připravovat, možná se i něco naučí, kdo ne, jeho věc. Takových je ovšem dvanáct do tuctu ...
