Course objectives
To animate means to give life to, to create illusion of movement of dead thing. This course will present to the students the basic animation techinques like cel animation, puppet animation, clay animation or computer generated images. The object of study are elements of orthodox and experimental animation, a close attention will be payed to the specific narrative strategies like metamorphosis, condensation synecdoche or metaphor. The lecture will be completed by the projection of selected shorts ot the worlds animation which all make experience to the viewers of a miracle of revival. The course will be continued in the next semester by Introduction to history of Worlds animation. The course will be terminated by a written essay.
