Course objectives
The lecture is aimed to present life, institutions and geography of French:geographic conditions, administrative division, folk customs, etc.). The knowledge of life, institutions and culture is considered to be a necessary part of the study of a language because it enables better orientation in the given "milieu" and better understanding of the extra-lingustic reality. This knowledge is important especially for future translators and interpreters.
