- Course objectives
- This course is intended to provide a broad-ranging introduction to Canada and offer some insight into the forces that have shaped the Canadian identity. Against the background of the geography and history of the country, we shall be looking at such areas as the arts, religion, education, regionalism, bilingualism and multiculturalism. Classes will be part lecture and part seminar, with literary texts and videos illustrating the topics under discussion.
