Course objectives
The aim of the lecture is to demonstrate on relevant material the significance of toponomastics for linguitics and diachronic discipliones.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Úvod: základní pojmy toponomastiky, tj. nauky o vlastních jménech zeměpisných.
  • Předmět toponomastiky.
  • Vývoj české toponomastiky.
  • Klasifikace toponym.
  • Prameny historického toponymického materiálu.
  • Vztah toponym a dějin osídlení.
  • Význam toponym pro výzkum zaniklých obcí.
  • Uliční názvy.
  • Exonyma.
