- Course objectives
- The course informs about the historical and present Middle Asian, Siberian and East-Asian languages. The lectures offer the informations about geography, ethnogenesis and cultural history also. Main objective: to understand the language families and distribution of separate languages.
- Syllabus
- 1. Altaic languages (1.1. Turkic languages, 1.2. Mongolic languages, 1.3. Tungusic languages), 2. Korean, 3. Japanese; small languages of the Russian Far East: 4. Uralic, 5. Eskymo-Aleut, 6. Chukotko-Kamchatkan, 7. Yenisseian, 8. Yukaghir, Gilyak etc.

- Lectures, short description of a chosen topic and additional colloquium.
