Course objectives
The course informs about the historical and present of Central Asian, Siberian and East Asian languages. The lectures offer the informations about geography, ethnogenesis and cultural history also. Main objective: to understand the language families and distribution of separate languages. Students should be acquainted with the ethno- and glottogonic situation of the Central and Northeast Asia in the past and present.

  • 1. Altaic languages (1.1. Turkic languages, 1.2. Mongolic languages, 1.3. Tungusic languages, 1.4. Korean, 1.5. Japanese); small languages of the Russian Far East: 2. Samoyedic, 3. Yukaghir, 4. Chukcho-Kamchatkan, 5. Nivx, 6. Eskaleutan, 7. Yenisseian. Jazyki Azii i Afriki III: Paleoaziatskije jazyki [jukagirský, čukčo-kamčatské, eskimo-aleutské, nivchský] Moskva 1979.
