- Course objectives
- At the end of this course students should prove
1) general skill in reading the Latin text of the Bible (Vulgate)
2) general familiarity with the historical background that is necessary for understanding the text
3) familiarity with the specific vocabulary and syntax of the text - Syllabus
- During the whole term students prepare on their own, using the recomended literature. At the end of the term they ask their examiner for the oral examination in reading and translating St Jerome’s Vulgate.
