- The course will look at aspects of the work of the British poet J. H. Prynne and aspects of collaborative work in philosophy and the study of culture by Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari.The aim of the course will be to consider how the writers concerned negotiate and dramatise complexity in the contemporary world.

- The course will be assessed by attendance and oral contribution at seminars (30%), response paper (20%) and essay (50%). Teaching by close reading and class discussion.
