Course objectives
This specialised follow-up on Introduction to Ethnology I is designed as an introduction to folklore and folklorism. Students will be taught the basics of this discipline which today is an integral part of ethnology but, at the same time, a stand-alone discipline with links mainly to the music, dance and literary sciences. It explains the essence of folklore and offers orientation in its types and forms (music, dance, literature, drama, children’s) as well as the issue of folklorism.
