- Das Ziel des Seminars besteht darin, die Teilnehmer mit dem Werk eines der bekanntesten und zugleich umstrittensten deutschsprachigen Autoren bekannt zu machen. k

- Course objectives
- The main objective of this course is that the students familiarize with the work of the important and rather contradictive German author B. Strauss. The seminar focuses on the work with the representative and the most discussed texts of this author. Prose, drama and essays will be dealt with. The students should be acquainted with the author at the end of the term as well as to interpret his key texts and class them in the context of literary history as well as in the philosophical context of German post-war life and thinking. Main objectives can be summerized as follows: to understand the basic teaching of Botho Strauss, one of the best known german writers. Centre of grafity makes the best known texts of this writer, his Drams, Novels and Essays.
