Course objectives
Epigraphy brings basic information about ancient and medieval inscriptions. It introduces different types of inscriptions, examines writing and language in which they were composed, and the most important epigraphical monuments in our lands with the help of prosopography. The principals of the description of inscriptions are illustrated on practical examples.
