Course objectives
The course consists of two parts. In the first part the students participate on preparation of the actual excursion - selection of places of our interest, arrangements of the schedule, preparation of thematic presentations. The excursion is structured in such a way as to cover broad selection of objects/places connected with various religious traditions. Second part consists of the actual three-day excursion around selected objects. The cost are paid by students themselves.
Upon the completion of the course students will be able to:
- demonstrate an enhanced knowledge of religious situation in the chosen region
- activelly search for information on the religious sites in the chose region
- present concise information on a chosen religiously important locality to other students
- independently organize a part of the excursion
- use other types of religious material than only literary (e.g. architecture, iconography etc.)
Syllabus
  • (1) Introductory meeting. (2) Selection of localities and planning of the route. (3) Programme of the excursion and distribution of thematic presentations. (4) Checking of the organization of the excursion. (5) Three-day excursion around selected localities, students presentations.

Teaching methods
Group projects oriented on the technical and program preparation of the excursion; class discussions; preparation and presentation of a student presentations on chosen religious sites visited during the excursion.
Assessment methods
Active participation on the preparation of the excursion - inquiry about visit of selected object, preparation of thematic presentation, participation on the excursion.
