- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
reliably recognize the morphological forms and generate them;
use selected kinds of the subordinate clauses and non-finite verb constructions;
use synonymic grammatical devices for some phenomena;
translate easy sentences into Czech and Latin and easy Latin texts into Czech;
summarize similarities between selected desinences across declensions and conjugations studied within the course. - Syllabus
- Morphology: perfect and supine stem; perfect indicative, pluperfect indicative, future perfect indicative, perfect subjunctive, pluperfect subjunctive, future participle; periphrastic conjugation; gerundive and gerund; semideponent verbs; verbs esse, ire, velle, fieri, ferre and composed verbs; praeteritopraesent verbs.
- Syntax: consecutio temporum, ablative absolute, nominative with infinitive, verbs iubere and vetare, cum historicum and selected types of subordinated clauses.

- Assessment methods
- Succesfull completion of the course derives from the active participation in the classes, submission of 2 to 3 assignments during the semester and passing of the final written test. Maximum of three missed lessons is acceptable.
