- Course objectives
- Description of syntactic level of modern Polish. The main objectives of the course are the following: 1. to get the students acquainted with the traditional Polish syntactic theories (Klemensiewicz, Jodłowski, Saloni, Świdziński) 2. to help them to understand semantic and formal relations among sentence elements 3. to help them to understand and to use rules for sentence analysis of a sentence 4. seminar is orientated practically, i.e. the focus is on application of the particular knowledge into practical exercises. At the end of the course students should be able to know syntactic terminology, to understand theoretical base of syntax and be able to use it in practice (analysis of sentence structures and texts).

- Lectures (practically exemplified theoretical information), class discussion, practical skills, reading of recommended literature, homeworks.
