- Course objectives
- Comparative view over the most important moments in the development of Serbian, Croatian, Bulgarian, Slovenian, Macedonian, Bosniak and Montenegrian language. The aim of the subject: to present the process of forming of contemporary standard languages and contact points in their development.
- Syllabus
- 1. Bulgarian language from the Kirill and Methody beginnings till the end of 14. century, Preslav and Ohrid school, Turnovo school.
- 2. Bulgarian language from the 15. till 19 century, damaskins, New Bulgarian, Slavonic-Bulgarian and Church Slavonic school.
- 3. Bulgarian language from the half of 19. till the half of 20. century.
- 4. Contemporary Bulgarian language; constitution of Macedonian standard language.
- 5. Development of Slovenian language.
- 6. Serbian language in the Middle Ages, Resavian school, Serbian Slavonic language, Russian Slavonic language, Slavonic-Serbian language.
- 7. Serbian language in the 19. century, reforms of Vuk Karadjich.
- 8. Serbian language in the 20. century; Serbo-Croatian period; events after 1991.
- 9. Croatian language in the Middle Ages, glagolitian written tradition, Dubrovnik literature, development till the end of 18. century.
- 10. Croatian language in the 19. century, Illyrian movement, Vienna language agreement 1850, development in the second half of 19. century - so called.
