Course objectives
Lectures follow the Czech literature of the 2nd half of the 20th century and beginning of the 21st century. This basic course brings the students of Czech for Foreigners into the last decade of the modern Czech literature. At the end of the course the students will be able to unederestand and explain the features of the main lines of the Czech literature in that period. The course explains synoptical features of the specific development period of the Czech literature include the aspects of the actual bohemistic and other knowledge of the Czech literature.
Syllabus
  • It will be explained these periods of the Czech literature: - period from 1945 to 1948 - poetry from 1948 to 1960 - prose and drama from 1948 to 1960 - questions of "three lines" = the Czech literature published in ČSR + samizdat literature + exil literature - expansion of the Czech literature in 60's - the Czech literature of normalization - the Czech literature from 1989 - convergency of mentioned lines of the Czech literature
