- Course objectives
- After completing the course the students will be able to present the conception of social philosophy and philosophy of history from the second half of the 19th century until present and place particular works into the social and cultural contexts of their formation, and to understand their variants in contemporary conceptions of society.

- 1. Utopianism
- 2. Marxist conception of history
- 3. Positivist approach to history (Comte, Mill)
- 4. Irrationalism (Nietzsche a Spengler)
- 5. Structuralist conception of history and a man
- 6. Understanding of history, man, and society in the ecological philosophy
- 7. History approached in the theory of post-industrial society (Bell, Toffler)
- 8. Liberalism in the history and today (Hayek)
- 9. Possible schemes of historical development and the restoration of belief in progress (Fukuyama)
- Students will also discuss the systematic terms and questions, such as: revolution and evolution, nature and man, etc.
