Course objectives
Serbian language course, expansion of vocabulary (with special emphasis on abstract concepts), the emphasis on active control of language and perfect usage of grammatical rules.
Syllabus
  • Grammar: repetition of knowledge gained in previous courses of Serbian language and also learning more tenses (aorist, imperfekat, pluskvamperfekat, futur II). Text: U vozu. Bračni razgovor. Indirect and direct speach. Text: Kalemegdan. Future tense, affirmative, negative and interrogative forms; perfect tense of verb "hteti (to want)". Text: Srpske pokrajine. The relative pronouns - declination; demonstrative pronouns - declination. Text: Beograd, istorijski grad. Aspects of verbs. Text: Turistička agencija. Adverbs: time, way, cause, amount, comparison of adverbs. Text: Oprez je majka mudrosti. Text: Novo gradilište. Future II. (exact), forming; future sentences; perfect tense(repetition); correct writing of comas.

Teaching methods
Serbian: Seminars, 1½ hours per week, plus half an hour tutorials to be arranged individually with students.
Assessment methods
The course has a form of a class discussion. Active participation in the seminar (which is allowed a maximum of 3 absence)10%, homeworks 10%, written test 50% and oral exam 30%.
