- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
1) understand and explain social context of design and implementation of technologies
2) analyse information needs of organizations and communities
3) use methods of critical evaluation of role of technologies in society
4) identify features of support tools for various communities
5) apply methods of terrain data collection with support of information technologies - Syllabus
- During this propaedeutic course are presented critical theories assessing the role of technologies in life of society as well as research methods evaluating interaction, development and use of technology. Contextualization, design and assessment of technologies in information science are introduced. Attention is paid to theories, methods and outcomes of critical evaluation of technologies and their roles in society, organitzations, civic activities and learning systems. Students uses social methodology as they investigate needs of organizations and design information systems. Various means of knowledge sharing and tools for support and development of civil society are instantiated. Part of the course is participation in learning mobile game design for KISK community.

- Teaching methods
- Course in form of summer school during July beginning is composed from seminars and workshops. Students solve practical tasks with mobile technoloigies and write special texts.

General note: Inf. schůzka 25. 2. v Seminární učebně od 15:50. V průběhu semestru bude předmět realizován formou individuální práce, virtuálních skupinových diskuzí a exkurze. Výukové přednášky a workshop proběhne v prvním týdnu měsíce července formou letní školy.
