- Course objectives
- The main aim of the seminar is to make students acquainted with the relation between art history and art criticism. Student should be able to express his own opinions on the modern and contemporary work of art.
- Syllabus
- 1. The principles of art criticism.; 2. Tha main authors and polemics in Czech art after 1945.; 3. Students own presentation: the topics will be presented on the first lecture.

- Teaching methods
- seminar 1.5 hour per week, with students presentations and discussion. Homeworks.
- Assessment methods
- Attendence and participation in the seminar is obligatory. Student will prepare semestral reading and will be active in discussion. Homeworks based on reading the critical texts during the whole course.
