- Syllabus 1. Organization, introduction. 2. Context and era, modern artistic trends and history of Czech theatre. 3. Modern Czech theatre in context of European theatre. National Theatre, Town theatre of Kral.Vinohrady, Lyrical Theatre and Theatre of art. 4. Jaroslav Kvapil, dramatist, dramaturgist, director, organizer. 5. Czech theatre expressionism - K.H.Hilar, F.Zavřel. 6. K.H.Hilar, czech director between modern and avant-garde. 7. The start of movement "small scene" and their influence over modern theatre. Lucerna. Revolutionary scene. 8. Czech theatre avantgarde. Devětsil, poetism, constructivism. Vladimír Gamza. 9. Jiří Frejka. Liberated theatre. 10. Jindřich Honzl. Voskovec and Werich. 11.
