Course objectives
This subject serves as an introduction to etnographic research and possibilities of its use in film studies. Students will also have a chance to use this method in practice and hence adopt its techniques that are necessary for their own potential research.
Syllabus
  • Brief historical, methodological and theoretical introduction to the issue of etnographic research. Etnographic, also known as empirical research describes a culture of a certain group of people and documents their everyday life throughout observation or performing interviews. A small research task will allow students to try this method in practice. Part of the class will be therefore focused on preparation, realization and processing of such task.
