Course objectives
The aim of the course is to explore and understand several ways one can apply when doing a discourse analysis. The students will learn about both the theoretical and practical approaches. At the end of the course students will be able to:
distinguish between language varieties according to situational use;
identify the importance of both verbal and non-verbal communication codes;
identify the functional relation between linguistic constructions and situational characteristics.
