- Course objectives
- This course provides a comprehensive overview of Bulgarian morphology and word derivation and composition, the course provides a detailed discussion and application of differences and similarities with Czech language, overview of Bulgarian morphological terminology. At the end of the course students will - be able to demonstrate the knowledge of Bulgarian morphology. - have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of linguistics. - have a broader and more solid understanding of key aspects of comparative study of Slavonic languages - be familiar with Bulgarian grammar - contrast and compare Czech and Bulgarian language

- Basic terminology (morphology, derivation and composition, other basic terms); word classes - comparison of the characteristics of the Bulgarian and Czech word classes. Osnova: 1. General characteristics of morphology, basic terminology 2. Substantives 3. Adjectives 4. Pronouns 5. Numerals 6. Verbs(formal point of view) 7. Verbs(semantical point of view) 8. Adverbs 9. Prepositions and conjunctions 10. Particles and interjections 11. Word formation I. 12. Word formation II.
