Course objectives
Croatian language instruction focused on the active spoken knowledge – broadining of vocabulary, dialogues etc. The course complements Language Course and it concentrates on practical knowledge of the language. At the end of this course students should be able to describe new grammar phenomena acquired in this semester and use the knowledge in spoken and written interaction. By the means of acquiring new vocabulary and grammar they can create text or speak about related topics. Students are able to understand written text and interpret it.
Syllabus
  • Homonyms, Croatian cuisine, recipes, ordering food and drinks, shopping, stereotypes, writing of greeting-cards and filling in forms, planning of travelling, expressing wishes.

Teaching methods
Seminar (two hours per week), several essays, home preparation, within the class a combination of teacher-led activities and student-centered/group learning activities will be employed.
Assessment methods
Regular attendance, homework and home preparation required. Upon fullfilling all requirements listed the students must pass a final test.
