Chronological presentation of the principal Belgian authors.
Syllabus
  • Biographies, works and literary characteristics associated with the political, the social, the artistic ... Analysis of extracts 1) Charles De Coster 2) Maeterlinck 3) Verhaeren 4) Crommelynck 5) Nougé 6) Michaux 7) Ghelderode

Teaching methods
Lecture: description of the literary field, explanation and definition of basic notions and their demonstration on concrete texts by concrete authors.
Assessment methods
Examination – oral: an interview on a theme resulting from the discussed thematic ranges including a practical analysis of a text.
