- Course objectives
- At the end of the course the student will be able to explain the basic phonetic changes from Latin to Spanish, will have basic knowledge of historical morphology and syntax of Spanish and will be able to comment all these changes on particular texts and examples.

- Lectures of theoretic texts and of authentic documents, as well as listening to recordings that reflect different states of evolution of the Spanish language.

- Lectures and class discussion.
Homeworks (reading tasks).
Written test and oral exam consisting of loud reading that demostrates the acquisition of knowledge from historic phonetics and ability of intepretation of different morphosyntactic and lexical problems related to the history of the Spanish language. - Language of instruction
